摘要

Antiphase domain boundaries (APDBs) on the Al_2O_3/NiAl(110) have been considered as active sites in the catalytic reactions. Amount of theoretical and experimental investigations on the APDB of alumina thin film (Al_2O_3) were performed by scanning tunneling microscope (STM), atomic force microscope (AFM) and density functional theory (DFT). For example, straight type and zig-zag type APDBs were imaged with atomic resolution, and work function reduced at straight type APDB. However, the configuration, electronic properties and significant role of two types APDBs in the catalytic reaction haven't been fully investigated, which can give insight to explain mechanism of catalytic reactions based on the novel metal nanoparticles.
