The 3-D Navier-Stokes equations have been solved to calculate the mixing and finite rate chemistry between the injected jets of iodine and the primary flow of singlet delta oxygen for the transverse injection scheme used in the RotoCOIL laser device. The effective binary diffusion model has been used to calcualte the species diffusional velocities and the plane wave Fabry-Perot resonator model has been used for power extraction. The computed results are in good agreement with the experimental values for gain, I_2 dissociation, and output power.
