This article discusses the development of mathematical models of the main relay protection devices integrated into the circuit of the nodal substation of an industrial enterprise. It is not always possible to meet the requirements for the reliability of power supply in the design and mathematical calculations of relay protection of the power system. The use of a mathematical model increases the accuracy of calculating the parameters of the power supply system in various modes of operation, and makes it possible to use a single model to solve various problems with a typical mathematical description. The paper considers a substation with consumers having a high-voltage abruptly alternating load. The relay protection and substation models developed based on the MATLAB Simulink software product. The main advantage of these models is block building, which makes it easy to change the given parameters and build configuration.
