V.I. Lenin and the GOELRO Plan (on the 150th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Lenin)

摘要

This paper asserts that the GOELRO Plan development and adoption was facilitated by V.I. Lenin’s understanding of paramount importance of the country’s energy development. It is shown that the leader of Soviet Russia was not only the initiator of the Plan but also personally managed its implementation at the early stages. His activities were mostly focused on the electrification of agriculture, the development of the country’s energy assets, and the propaganda and training of the masses in the fundamentals of power engineering.
