A mathematical model of a three-dimensional electromagnetic field excited in the magnetic system of axial flux electric machine is developed. The electric machine contains permanent magnets on the rotor and a coreless winding on the stator. The mathematical model is a boundary integral equation with respect to the unknown density of a simple layer of fictitious magnetic charges. The collocation method and piecewise constant approximation of the density of secondary sources are used to solve this equation. The problem is reduced to the solution of the redefined system of linear equations. On the basis of the developed model, the electric machine characteristics are calculated. The results obtained are confirmed by physical experiments.
