This paper presents current development of weight estimations method for conceptual design at Saab Aeronautics. The aim is to overcome limitations of typical conceptual design weight estimations methods to capture structural design choices and novel configurations. Different methods have been combined to improve execution efficiency and estimation accuracy. A comparison between known and estimated weight data for different aircraft will be presented, together with parameter sensitivity analyses that are carried out to maximize method performance.
