A Full Ka-band 50W Solid-State Power Amplifier Combiner

摘要

A Ka-Band power amplifier based on waveguide power-combining technique is designed and analyzed in this paper. The power combiner employed in this design provides a high power-combining efficiency over a full waveguide bandwidth. A simple design approach for the power combiner has been developed. The measured insertion loss of the power combiner is less than 1.7dB over the entire Ka-Band. Measured results show a good agreement with simulated ones. The measured output saturated power of the solid-state amplifier is higher than 47.6dBm across the 26GHz-40GHz band.
