摘要

The article presents the problem of interpretation of the results of laboratory torsional shear tests on cylindrical soil samples. Particular attention was paid to the process of measurement, data acquisition, processing and interpretation of results. The applied method of optical recording of displacements allowed to identify the areas of loss local stability, which occurred in the contact between the sample of tested soil and the elements of the RC/TS apparatus.
