THz wave generation from a dual wavelength distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) semiconductor diode laser connected by an Y-shaped waveguide with photoconductive antennas is demonstrated. Two fibre coupled photoconductive antennas were employed to generate and detect the beat frequency of the two lasers by lock in technique. Terahertz frequencies of approximately 300GHz were demonstrated via photomixing with a tuning range between 290 GHz to 320GHz.
