In this paper, a compact Stepped-impedance reson ators (SIR) Omni-directional ceiling-mounted antenna for bandnotched characteristic is designed and simulated. The proposed Omni-directional ceiling-mounted antenna has the capability to operate over the bandwidth 0.6-4.8GHz at return loss < -10 dB(fo r SWR<2). To avoid potential interferences, a notched band of 0. 87-1GHz for rejection of GSM900 radio signals can also be obtai ned by adjusting the geometry of the Stepped-impedance resonat ors (SIR). It shows broadband matched impedance, stable gain a nd radiation pattern over a operating bandwidth.
