This paper presents the results of a study that shows the reality of educational institutions like organizations and as evidence warning of the need to improve the quality of education of children and youth from the provinces, taking into account that as over time, these educational organizations become increasingly complex systems. The study allowed us to determine the effects of variables associated with school management, including the great relevance of the leadership variable on educational quality was determined. For the application of the proposed model for evaluating the quality of education, we used a sample of 268 teachers in public educational institutions of the town of Zipaquirá in Colombia, who were administered a structured questionnaire based on the adaptation of the quality model EFQM European education. Subsequently a comprehensive psychometric analysis of the data was performed by means of a series of exploratory and confirmatory analysis that included structural equations, which allowed to determine the problem that looms over these institutions.
