摘要

The correlation values for cadence, head rate of rotation and torso rate of rotation were found to be high between both systems. Out of all the correlation values, stride length was the lowest but was still highly correlated. Overall, the WMAS was found to provide correlated motion information to that provided by an industry-standard optical tracking system for the selected parameters and represents a valuable clinical tool that can be used in or out of the laboratory. Future work will investigate knee flexion by attaching an Opal to both thigh and shank. The accelerometer data may be incorporated more effectively to detect both gait events and gait abnormalities. A future study with more subjects that also included mTBI patients would confirm the suitability of the wearable sensors for detecting these pathologies.
