摘要

The traditional buckling restrained braces (BRB) performs superb energy dissipation capacity. But the traditional BRB has the shortcoming such as rigidity of outer tuber can not be control easily, so propose a new type BRB. Between the new BRB's core section and outer tube do not filled with mortar, but install with lateral braces. From the configuration, set up the rational models of mechanics, and using the finite element method with ANSYS software to make theoretical analysis, the results proved the pure steel type BRB has the better mechanic, rigidity of outer tuber can be control easily and has simple construction.
