Study on the Control System of Friction Stitch Welding Device

摘要

In order to carry on with the welding procedure test, a set of friction stitch welding device was designed. The control system consisted of welding process controlling system and experimental data acquisition system. The touch screen acted as human-machine interface, and the PLC together with multi spindle motion controller acted as the main control unit of the welding process controlling system, which can monitor the motion of the spindle when cooperated with various sensors. The experimental data acquisition system included sensors, Wavebook signal processing module and HMI-Control, which was designed by Dasylab software. During the experiment, the vital welding parameters, such as the speedle rotation speed, Z-axis relative and absolute movement, Z-axis feed speed, welding pressure and specimen inner temperature etc were acquired, and these parameters can be real-time recorded. Furthermore, the applied friction stitch welding device was the precedent at home, which was of great importance to the headway of the study.
