Synthesis, structural characterisation, and preliminary biological evaluation of three newM(I)+ (M = Re, 99mTc) complexes with 2-(4-aminophenyl)benzothiazole derivatives properlymodified for chelation is presented. The 2-(4-aminophenyl)benzothiazole class displays potent andselective antitumor activity as well as binding affinity for amyloid plaques of Alzheimer's disease(AD). Therefore, these complexes are designed as potential radiopharmaceuticals for cancer andAD.
