A Study on the Fire Safety Awareness of Elderly Facility Staff: The analyzation of staff’s anxiety against night fire based on the mathematical quantification theory class III

The respondents’ anxiety for the facility with insufficient smoke spreading measure and insufficient evacuation space have a relationship with the facility’s equipment and design, especially the relationship between the respondents’ anxiety and floor plan of the facilities, although the facilities meet the request of the current fire laws, based on the respondents’ impression, they still have anxiety because of the floor plan. It shows the objective things have a correct influence on the respondents’ subjective thought. A complete hardware construction has a positive influence on the staff’s awareness of the fire safety. The respondents’ anxiety for the facility with the condition of the passage have relationship with the floor plan type, the central corridor type, although the passage width in central corridor type building is wider than the one in any other type building, in respondents’ impression, the width is not enough for the residents’ evacuation with wheelchair or any other equipment.
