This paper sets up assumptions to understand the context of BIM in China. The assumptions need to be investigated in further research. To sum up, the short project duration in China caused the BIM market trend, whose main focus is in post design onsite adjustments during constructing phase. Further research is necessary to collect more evidence for the assumptions and comparison case study about the ideal and actual project process of BIM technology implementation.
