Nose-Deck Interaction in ILM Bridge Proceeding with Tapered Sectional Launching Nose

摘要

ILM (incremental launching method) bridge, which is one of PS(prestressed) concrete bridge construction methods is widely adopted owing to its effectiveness for the quality control. The structural behavior of superstructure in the bridge strongly depends on the process of launching nose during construction. In this study, the nose-deck interaction is analyzed for the bridge according to the parameters of the ratios of length, weight, and flexural stiffness of launching nose to those of superstructure. The section of nose is assumed as the tapered shape to consider the real project. Design formulas are also suggested to pursue the optimum values for relative length, weight, and flexural stiffness between launching nose and superstructure.
