摘要

Cw laser emission at room temperature with output powers in the milliwatt range in the blue, yellow and red spectral range in dysprosium- and erbium-doped ZBLAN fibers is reported for the first time. Based on excited state absorption spectroscopy the upconversion processes and therefore the realization of new laser transitions in the visible spectral range in several novel dopands is discussed.
