Towards Invariant Meanings of Spatial Prepositions and Preverbs

This work presents the semanticalanalysis of the two spatial prepositionsand associated prefixes, the Frenchsur, sur-(on) and the Polish przez,prze- (across). We propose a theory ofabstract places (loci), as a method ofdescription which helps to build aninvariant meanings of the twolinguistics units.
