Environments normally influence phenotying soybean accessions, but marker-assisted identification makes the genotypying soybean accessions more easily and accurately. Since soybean mosaic virus, soybean cyst nematode and salt salinity are major disease and stress cause substantial losses in seed yield, the DNA markers for genes conditioning resistance to salt tolerance (Guo et al., 1998; Qiu et al., 1998), soybean mosaic virus (SMV) northeast no.3 stain (Zheng et al., 1999; 2000) and soybean cyst nematode (Cregan et al., 1998) previously identified in different populations were used to characterize soybean accessions.
