Universal, computer facilitated, steady-state oscillator, closed loop analysis theory: some applications to precision crystal oscillators

The application of the closed-loop analysis theory to precision crystal oscillators is considered. The particular resonators considered are a 10 MHz one resonator Colpitts oscillator, a 10 MHz one resonator Pierce oscillator, a 10 MHz one resonator DXO oscillator, and a 10 MHz two resonator oscillator. Oscillator noise sources are reported, and it is concluded that oscillator noise sidebands may not be symmetrical.
