Guangdong is a major foreign trade province of China, and the United States is a significant trade partner of Guangdong Province. The rising trade friction between China and the US has had major impacts on the global value chain position of Guangdong Province, which is reflected in foreign trade and two-way investment with the international community. However, the rising trade friction between China and the US forces Guangdong to improve the quality of foreign trade and expand the scale of high-quality investment. Therefore, Guangdong Province should strengthen the innovation-driven ability of enterprises, promote the development of science and technology, and expand the import of high-quality service products.
