A compact 4-port UWB-MIMO/diversity antenna for WPAN application

In this paper, a compact 4-port ultrawideband (UWB) MIMO/diversity antenna with low ECC is presented. The design employ frequently used orthogonal orientation to achieve high isolation within a chip space of 42×42 mm². The antenna parameter such as the impedance bandwidth, isolation, 3-D radiation pattern, peak gain, radiation efficiency have been studied. Moreover, diversity performance in terms of envelop correlation coefficient (ECC) from far field pattern has been analyzed.
