Many parameters of the power system are related to the line phase sequence arrangement which is various in multi-circuit transmission lines on the same tower. So it is very difficult to select the optimal phase sequence. In order to reduce its influence on the operation of multi-circuit transmission lines on the same tower, this paper takes quadruple-circuit transmission lines as an example and makes the simulation of the power frequency electric field, power frequency magnetic field, radio interference, audible noise and line imbalance degree under 1296 kinds of phase sequence arrangement of quadruple-circuit transmission lines. Through the establishment of objective function about electromagnetic environment and imbalance degree, this paper determines different weight coefficients depending on their importance in the practical project. Finally it gets the optimal phase sequence of quadruple-circuit transmission lines based on comprehensive consideration of the electromagnetic environment and imbalance degree which can offer reference to the optimal design of transmission lines in engineering practice.
