This paper deals with problematic of Free Space Optical (FSO) Links. The main part of this paper is focused on the creation of an appropriate experimental workplace for the simulation of turbulences (mechanical and thermal), fog effects and subsequent measurement of these effects. The statistical analysis and real measurement are used for evaluation of these effects on the FSO link. Overall there were tested three optical light sources operating at wavelengths of 632.8 nm, 850 nm and 1550 nm respectively. There were observed the influences of artificial atmospheric effects on the signal attenuation. It was also necessary to construct an experimental box for the purposes of real measurements. This box was constructed with sizes of 2.5 and 5 meters and was used for simulation of atmospheric environment.
