Recognition of prior learning and academic success : Expert knowledge of a German University of Applied Sciences

This paper describes the current situation in Germany concerning recognition of prior learning in degree programs. Because of the remaining reservations about recognition, further research is needed to provide evidence against the fear of quality loss of academic studies. This paper reports current actions of Aalen University in this area.
