Orthodontics has the characteristics of complex mechanical properties, changeable causes and types of malocclusion, and long treatment course, which makes students feel boring in theoretical study and can not combine theoretical study with clinical practice well. This paper focuses on the application of finite element analysis in orthodontic teaching to establish models of different malocclusion, in order to deepen students' understanding of various orthodontic techniques and mechanisms, and to make students understand the characteristics of different appliances concretely, in order to solve the existing problems. We expect that through the combination of three-dimensional finite element analysis and orthodontic teaching, students can get twice the result with half the effort in the study of orthodontics.
