The combined measurement system which consists of a Laser tracker and an Articulated Coordinate Measurement Machine(ACMM) plays an increasingly important role in the digitalized assembly. This paper introduces the measurement uncertainty analysis on combined measurement system. When these measurement instruments are combined, the resulting coordinate data set contains uncertainties that are a function of the base data sets and complex interactions between the measurement sets. Consequently, combined with the characteristics of Laser Tracker and ACMM, coordinate transformation technology and synthetic theory of standard uncertainty, measurement uncertainties of the single point and spatial distance are computed. The experimental results show that the proposed method is very effective.
