In this investigation attempts have been made to modify the surface characteristics of titanium in order to increase the adhesion of high performance epoxy based nano adhesive which in turn would help in fabricating a high heat resistant weather proof high performance laminate with prolonged durability meant for aerospace application. The surface modification was carried out by Plasma Nitriding. The plasma treated Ti surface was coated with high performance epoxy based adhesive containing nano reinforcing materials and then laminated with another sheet of treated titanium. After necessary curing of the adhesive the laminate was subjected to various mechanical,thermal, and morphology studies.
