OBLIQUE INFLATABLE CURTAIN; A RESTRAINT SYSTEM FOR SMALL OVERLAP CRASHES

Aim The aim of this paper was to describe an ongoing internal project regarding occupant protection in small overlap crashes. The paper will discuss findings of characteristics needed for tests aimed for countermeasure evaluation and present sled and component test methods as well as an airbag solution. Parts of this paper, especially parts concerning the sled test method, were previously presented in an ESV paper (Bostrom&Kruse 2011).
