With the rapid changes in external market environment and corporate internal organizational structure, High Performance Work System (HPWS) has drawn universal attention recently. High performance work system can be viewed as a key strategic lever, both as a means to develop and sustain core competencies and as a necessary condition for strategy implementation. This article illustrates the content and features of the high-performance work system and examines their effect on organizational performance. Also, this article describes what the high performance work system consists of the best human resources practices.
