摘要

The wave propagation method is used for the vibration analysis of multi-span beam systems with arbitrary boundary conditions, based on the Bernoulli-Euler beam theory. All the boundary conditions between or end the beams could be arbitrary that all the conventional homogeneous beam boundary conditions can be included by setting the stiffnesses of the springs be infinity or zero. In the method, the displacement on each beam is expressed in the wave propagation form which including wave numbers. For a single beam, the wavenumbers could be obtained in a known form for conventional boundary conditions. So the results of a single beam are obtained through the boundary conditions and the known wavenumbers, and compared with the numerical results. And the results of a three-span beam system with different supporting and connecting stiffnesses presented here are compared with those obtained by previous published papers.
