The Management and Operation Status of the Gymnasium in Chinese Universities and Countermeasures Taken

There are plenty of gymnasiums in the universities and colleges but they still cannot meet the increasing requirement of people's body building. This essay puts forward some solutions as to the scarcity of the gymnasiums on the basis of investigation and interview, to have a general understanding of the gymnasiums' management and operation status in the universities, meanwhile pointing out that the channels of raising funds for building gymnasiums should be broadened; that the large-scale comprehensive gymnasiums should be set up to satisfy the different activities' requirements; and that several management and operation modes should co-exist so as to achieve the socialization, marketization, demutualization, as well as the specialization of the management staff, to improve the employee's vocational levels, and to reach the goals of beneficial circle development of the gymnasiums.
