Propellants with varying concentrations in nitrocellulose, DNDA6 and RDX were obtained by Spray Flash Evaporation (SFE) process and investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The disappearance of a band or the evolution of its Raman shift towards lower values (and thus lower energies) highlights the weakening of the related vibration mode. This is linked to interferences caused by inter-molecules interactions and was used to identify the mechanism of the plasticization of nitrocellulose by DNDA6. This work has also shown a lack of interaction between RDX nanoparticles and propellant matrix.
