On the basis of analysis of education of industrial design and the actuality of our country, this article proposes that the bottleneck of industrial design education in China is the absence of internal qualities of designer and shortage of the application of the research in social science. In order to change the state and develop, we must make some progress in the three aspects. First, new technique has to be integrated with the traditional skill under the development of technology and society. Second, great attention is paid to the internal qualities of designer. Third, the application of society science research must be thought highly of.
