摘要

The main purpose of this article is to introduce a completely new technology on heavy equipment field—Bumpy-ridge technology.Firstly,simple illustration of Bumpy-ridge structures was given in this paper.Then some latest developments on basic principles were introduced by use of several interdisciplinary branches of science,including weak-bonding theory,fracture mechanics and tribology etc.At last,a couple of applications of Bumpy-ridge structure on engineering projects were demonstrated and then further studies were forecasted.Application of Bumpy-ridge technology can solve many problems,such as manufacture,transportation,and dramatically save the costs.Therefore,without doubt,Bumpy-ridge structure would hold a good prospect of application in future.
