The objective of this study was to comparephosphatidylcholine based colloidal systems, namelyliposomes, transfersomes, micelles and microemulsions,regarding their ability to deliver peptides into and throughthe skin. Skin permeability and retention studies did notshow any difference between investigated systems andwas low in all cases. However, confocal laser scanningmicroscopy revealed differences between the systems inthe accumulation sites of the model peptide.
