摘要

Performing a simulation project in the Industrial Engineering domain requires the coordinated use of multiplesoftware tools. A framework has been designed and implemented to support tailoring a simulation environment tomeet the requirements of individual projects with respect to model building, organizing model input data,experimenting with models, and result management, thus meeting the needs of simulation environment users,particularly those who build models and others who experiment with models. The framework is based on ideasfound in current simulation environments extended by simulation interoperability concepts. Applications in projectmanagement, traffic routing, and manufacturing systems analysis are described.
