Simulation Optimization Studies in Injection Molding

摘要

A simulation optimization method based on design of experiments and adaptive metamodeling techniques isdemonstrated in the context of injection molding in this work. The proposed method is used to select the bestprocessing conditions for injection molding a Kodak disposable camera front plate in the presence of either a singleobjective function or a composite function involving a series of weighted performance measures. The optimizationresults are discussed in light of the qualities of the simulation optimization method.
