Carboxymethyl High Amylose Starch - Chitosan Tablets Affording Colon Probiotic Delivery

摘要

Chitosan in association with Carboxymethyl High Amylose Starch (CM-HAS) excipient (monolithic tablets) delayed Lactobacillus rhamnosus probiotic delivery in simulated intestinal conditions in function of chitosan molecular weight. CM-HAS dry-coating of the tablets afforded a better bacteria viability in simulated gastric media and improved liberation times in simulated intestinal fluid.
