摘要

We present a procedure, which allows checking the physical model of Rand and Basore for lighttrapping [1] by using measured data. The procedure is based on exploiting the numerical simulation program PC1d4.4 to fit measured quantum yields and external reflectance of Si solar cells. In accordance with Rand and Basore, wefind that measured quantum yields are best fitted only if the contribution of the light escaping out the front surface,after undergoing multiple internal reflections, is neglected.
