摘要

Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (MHYO) infection increases porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) replication, the severity of PCV2-induced lesions and the incidence of postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) in co-infected pigs. Some reports indicate that MHYO bacterins with oil-based adjuvants may increase PCV2 replication and lesions, or the incidence of PMWS, compared to placebo controls or aqueous adjuvants. However, other reports have not demonstrated any association of MHYO vaccination or oil adjuvants with the clinical expression of PMWS. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of MHYO vaccination on clinical parameters and economic performance of pigs challenged with MHYO and PCV2.
