Edge/bottom water reservoirs are abundant and widely distributed in Liaohe Oilfield, such as L41 and J45. For the edge/bottom water systems are very active and the high oil/water mobility ratio in these areas, production wells take look on water invasion and water coning, which make the production wells non- water production period short, the water production rising rapidly and water control measures difficult to find All kinds of the phenomena narrated above make the production less efficiency. For all researchers strives these years, a series of edge/bottom water control technology has been studied out, which includes the reservoir engineering plan's making to later period adjustment of production wells during all water production time. The apply of the technology not only well controlled the water production in oil wells, prolonged the non-water production time and avoided oil wells drowned soon after putting into production, but also considered the efficient utilization of natural water power. The water control technology applied to edge/bottom water reservoirs in Liaohe Oilfield has been proved to be great success, which has made great contribution to oil production in Liaohe Oilfield. At the same time, the technology provided other similar reservoirs with efficient technical support.
