In Vitro - In Vivo Comparison of the Degradation of a Photocrosslinked Biodegradable Elastomer

A photocrosslinked, biodegradable elastomer hasrecently been prepared, for the purpose ofdeveloping an implantable polymeric protein deliverymatrix. In vivo degradation and toxicity studies wereperformed in rats to assess the potential utility of thismaterial. The in vivo results were also compared toin vitro degradation experiments performed inphosphate buffered saline.
