Long-term Response to Mouse Erythropoietin Secreted from Encapsulated Myoblasts inSyngeneic and Allogeneic Recipients

The subcutaneous and intraperitonealimplantation of encapsulated myoblasts geneticallyengineered to deliver mouse erythropoietin wasevaluated in syngeneic and allogeneic micerecipients without immunosuppression.Hematological data showed therapeutic response for100 days in both mice strains and administrationroutes, presenting cell encapsulation as a promisingapproach for the long-term delivery of proteins.
