In the present study, collagenous matricesisolated from pig arteries were acellularized andcharacterized as a scaffold for vascular tissueengineering. The scaffolds were seeded with humansmooth muscle and endothelial cells. Combiningthese matrices with cornea extracellular matrix isshown to enhance attachment of cells to thescaffold.
