摘要

The Atmospheric Physics Laboratory (APL) of University College London continues to expand and refine its network of Fabry-Perot Interferometers (FPIs). These instruments measure neutral winds and temperatures in the mid-thermosphere by observing the 630nm and 557nm OI emissions. Our current work focusses on the study of small-scale structures. It is, therefore, necessary to increase the temporal and spatial resolution of our measurements as much as possible. The time resolution of the measurements at KEOPS has been much improved by the installation of a recently-developed electron-multiplying CCD. A new Scanning Doppler Imaging system (SCANDI) is currently being constructed. This will measure an all-sky wind field at high spatial resolution to complement the data from the FPIs.
