The cracking behaviors and factors influencing the cracking generation in the rapid manufacturing of lasercladding components were analyzed. Cracking control technologies such as the selection of substrates and claddingpowders, introduction of transition layers, leading-in of supersonic vibration, temperature controlling of molten pooland the improvement of manufacturing environment were proposed. With the application and combination of severalcracking control measures, full density and qualified metal components without cracking was produced. Themicrostructures of the cracking and sound components were also studied.
