摘要

Current architectural designs are characterized by filigree glass-steel-structures. They differ by ahigh transparency and lightness and therefore they are increasingly applied for facade design,roofing, entrance areas and ascents of buildings.The requests of architects demand very often the development of new production, calculation anderection methods. On the other hand exceptional methods as new cutting and joining processes,especially the laser cutting and welding process, can affect the architectural designs.The laser technology offers a possibility to go away from mass produced standard componentswith low flexibility to solutions designed for the particular need in consideration of an efficientand intelligent use of raw materials.
